Supplier management - just in time

Challenge

For an OEM in the automotive sector, we take over supplier management (supplier management or supplier management). For chassis components from the sports car sector, we control the systematic process of industrialization. In doing so, we are responsible for the relationship with the supplier, planning, monitoring and optimising in regular rounds.
The aim is to ensure the supply of components on schedule with the required quality.

Method

  • Supplier selection: Evaluation and selection of suitable suppliers according to criteria such as quality, price, reliability and sustainability.
  • Contract drafting: Clear agreements on delivery conditions, quality standards and prices.
  • Communication and collaboration: Leading rule rounds with participants from the departments of development, production, quality, suppliers and logistics. Close coordination with suppliers to achieve common goals, representing the interests of the client and driving innovation.
  • Performance monitoring: Regular evaluation of supplier performance (e.g. on-time delivery, quality, flexibility).
  • Risk management: Identification and minimization of risks (e.g. supply bottlenecks, quality defects). With the highest priority on security of supply and adherence to deadlines.

Result

Through the phase2 mindset, we were able to achieve the following goals:

  • Schedule maintained throughout all phases of industrialization
  • Security of supply ensured for all phases of plant construction
  • found and exploited cost potentials through our know-how in the early phase
  • Successful start of series production
