EffiLift32 - more throughput despite bottlenecks
Challenge
We are often confronted with the consequences of staff shortages, delivery bottlenecks or the proportionality between the many (potential) repair orders and the (real) number of lifts. A look into the vehicle workshop is visible directly on the lifting platform. Here you can see vehicles that are on the lifting platform and on which no activity is taking place.
So the task was how to remove the already (partially) dismantled vehicle from the lift in order to be able to continue using the lift.
Method
The solution was to take a closer look at the possible pick-up points of a vehicle and the lifting platform support arms. This resulted in the following boundary conditions, among others:
- Use of the original jack mounts
- Widest possible coverage of the existing lifts
- Easy to maintain
- Fast changeover time
- no lifting device, because it is already there
- …
Result
For the workshop, there are new possibilities for the deployment of personnel and the use of the existing lifting platforms in the vehicle workshop.
- New processes (stations in the workshop possible)
- Efficient work in the vehicle workshop
- Targeted deployment of existing specialists
- Easy replacement of the rubber plates when the wear limit is reached
- additional safety for working on electric vehicles, through the use of special rubber plates
- …
